Building games are extremely entertaining, as you have an opportunity to explore your creative side and construct a house of your dreams. In this article, we present you several tips that will help you make the most of the game and bring your building to the next level.

Furniture Improvement

One of the frustrating things that you can experience when playing The Sims 4 is furniture placement. Because the grid system is at the basis of this game, any furniture that you place in your room gets located according to the way envisaged by the grid. It is highly annoying when you cannot place furniture closer to the walls.

Fortunately, we found a way how you can fix this issue. All you should do is press Control + Shift + C and you will see a bar where you need to type ‘bb.moveobjects’. Once you do this, you won’t have to be restricted to the grid! By holding Alt + left mouse, you will be able to move furniture and other objects whichever way you like.

New Roofing

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, you know that roofing can be quite challenging in the game. If you use the ‘Get Famous’ expansion, you can benefit from a new awesome update that allows you to locate buildings on different foundation heights. Previously, it was impossible to do that but now you have more freedom with this function. For instance, you can create a gazebo or similar construction and place it on a different height compared to the actual house.

L-shaped Stairs are Possible

Straight up and down stairs are quite boring, let’s face it. With some practice, we figured out a way to build L-shaped stairs, which can add an element of interest to your house. What you need to do is create a foundation in the shape of a letter ‘L’. The way you can achieve this is by making the first foundation four notches in height and the second one – 8 notches. The last part will end in walls. You can experiment with sizes and heights and find what works for your space.

Better Landscape

Managing the terrain according to your preferences is another awesome thing you can do in The Sims 4. We tried using the terrain tools offered by the game and with their help, you can swallow some segments of roof or foundation. For instance, you can submerge a certain construction in the ground to achieve a different height or experiment in other ways that you find appropriate for your building.

More Creative Opportunities

It’s no wonder that Sims 4 has become such a popular outlet for people to experiment and create amazing houses. With the help of these little tricks, you will be able to make your buildings look a lot more realistic and obviously have more freedom in the game. Give them a try and see what you can create in your virtual house!
